Michaelin Otis is an award winning, Nationally known artist, show juror and Author and illustrator. Her popular book, "Watercolor for the Fun of It - Painting People" was Published in 2002. She is a contributing author for "Drawing People - The Essential Guide", and several other books written by Karlyn Holman and Nancy Reyner, as well as "Splash 9". She has written for Watercolor Magazine , Artist Magazine, and Watercolor Magic. She has appeared in Southwest Art, Western Art Collector and others
She Has won numerous awards, Has her signature membership in the Louisiana Watercolor Society and the Taos Society of Watercolors. She Owned her own gallery
and Teaching Studio, Avalon Arts, for 18 years in White Bear Lake, MN. She taught for H K Holbein art materials for several years around the country, as well as in Guatemala and for 20 Years a yearly workshop In Yucatan

Michaelin sells collage, college and charcoal, mixed media, as well a watercolors, and watercolor on a handmade surface that she creates on archival board. She also teaches workshops and is a juror for competitions. She is an author, and a contributor on several books.
Michaelin will be teaching a workshop for Tubac Center for the Arts during the upcoming season
