
Michaelin Otis owned Avalon Arts, a teaching studio and gallery in White Bear Lake, MN for 18 years. Now living in Green Valley, AZ, she is represented by Manos Gallery, Tubac, AZ.. Her book, "Watercolor for the Fun of It, Painting People" was published by Northlight Books in 2003. She has been featured in several other publications, including "Drawing and Painting People, the Essential Guide", "Watercolor for the Fun of It", "Searching for the Artist Within",and "Splash 9, Watercolor Secrets". She has also been featured in Western Art Collector, Watercolor Magazine, Artist's Magazine and Watercolor Magic. She has won numerous awards in national juried shows, and is a signature member of the Louisiana Watercolor Society, and the Taos National Watercolor Society. She is also a show juror and workshop instructor. Michaelin has illustrated eight children's books: "Sara Wants to Know', "Handshake with Heaven", "Andy and Pancake", "Farm Country Christmas Eve", and "Farm Country Halloween", "Farm Country Thanksgiving", "Whisie", and most recently "Trainman". The latter will be released soon from the Autisim and Asberger Publishing Company.
